Sondra Kronberg, MS, RD, CDN, CEDRD, a nutrition therapist, with over 30 years of experience is a recognized leader in the field of eating disorders and body wellness.
A national speaker, consultant and life coach, Sondra is a licensed clinical nutritionist and founder and nutritional director of the Eating Disorder Treatment Collaborative Nutrition Counseling Specialists and Body Wellness Programs. Sondra specializes in the treatment of the collaborative approach to eating disorders. She oversees all individualized treatment of the nutritionists.

In 2010, Sondra received the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (IAEDP) Certified Eating Disorder Specialists Award. She is the first nutritionist to receive the award.
She is the recipient of other awards including the National Eating Disorders Association’s 2004 Excellence in Treatment Award and the American Dietetic Association’s SCAN 2002 Excellence in Practice Award.
Sondra is on the Medical Advisory Board of
Normal-Life.org. Sondra has served on several boards including Board Trustee of the National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA) for six years. She was a member of the Founding Council of NEDA. She is currently a Clinical Advisor to the NEDA support groups. She was Executive Director and National Liaison of the National Eating Disorders Association-Long Island. She is a member of the Fitness and Industry Guidelines Task Force for the Academy of Eating Disorders. Sondra served on the Advisory Board of the New York State Department of Labor recommending guidelines for employment of child performers and models to help prevent and treat their eating disorders. Sondra instituted the first graduate course devoted solely to eating disorders on Long Island campuses in 1995 and has been an Adjunct Professor at several universities and guest lecturer at the School of Counseling at CW Post College in Brookville, New York.
She set up and directed the first Renfrew Satellite Program in New York - the Long Island Renfrew Intensive Outpatient Program.
Sondra is the author of the Eating Disorder Learning/Teaching Handout Series on CD, which is a compilation of the past 30 years of her collaborative work and is being used by nutritionists, therapists, physicians, school counselors and treatment centers across the country. She has written numerous articles including the Renfrew Perspective, the SCAN Pulse and a column called “Tools for Your Toolbox.” She was a contributing author to the American Dietetic Association’s manual: Eating Disorders: A Clinician’s Guide to Counseling and Treatment.

She presents at numerous national conferences including the Renfrew Foundation, National Eating Disorders Association, the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals, the Academy of Eating Disorders conferences and the National Organization for Women, as well as numerous state, local conferences and seminars. She is a media spokesperson for TV, internet and radio, including appearances on PBS, Good Morning America, CNN, Fox 5 and the Anderson Cooper show. Sondra is quoted regularly in many books, newspapers, magazines and the internet on the incidence, prevention and treatment of eating disorders and body image issues.
Other seminar topics include self-care, the empowerment of women in creating balance in their lives and mindfulness.
Sondra is in the process of writing a book about how to best use your mind to create a meaningful and effective life.
